EXTERNAL WHOLESALER IN TRAINING
Protective Life has an exciting entry level sales opportunity in the financial services industry. We are hiring Internal Wholesalers with a possible future as an External Annuity Wholesaler. With the right skills and after an 18 – 24 month comprehensive training program, you may qualify to manage a territory. As an External Wholesaler, you would achieve success through a detailed business plan that would allow you to develop in-depth relationships with financial professionals from the wire house or independent agent channels. Through your consultative sales approach the brokers in your territory will be able to effectively offer Protective’s annuity products to their clients. Candidates must be willing to relocate after the training period.
Training Responsibilities (18-24 months):
Participate in the Wholesaler in Training program. An 18 - 24 month comprehensive program that provides training in all facets of outside sales as a wholesaler to the wire house/independent agent community.
Respond to incoming calls from brokers/financial advisors.
Outbound calls: sales campaigns, external wholesaler meeting follow-up calls, new business, maturing business, and others as directed.
Communication: to external wholesalers and brokers/financial advisors such as- sales ideas, illustrations, and hypotheticals, rate changes, product updates, production numbers and company updates.
Administrative: track sales, respond to broker/financial advisor faxes, place and monitor orders, client information updated in applicable systems, schedule meetings/seminars, and mailings.
Investigate potential sales opportunities through proactive and reactive efforts with external wholesaler.
Develop advanced fixed and variable annuity product and procedure knowledge to answer in-depth questions from brokers.
Understand and utilize current technologies and promote related technologies appropriately to agents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Wholesaler Duties:
Business analysis and development of territorial sales plans to achieve new business objectives on a profitable basis.
Provide product promotion and sales support through office visits, product and sales training.
Participation in and lead public seminars
Joint sales call activities
